It seems that everywhere you go, some jerk is there with a list of movies that you just have to see!

This movie is best. No, this one. No, it's this obscure foreign one. Shut up, douche, it's totally Citizen Kane. Nuh-uh, it's blah, blah, blah... You get the point.

So, how's this one any different? Well, for starters, it's probably not. Look, I'm an expert when it comes to movies, plain and simple. You, on the other hand, probably aren't. What I'm presenting here isn't some stupid countdown to show off how many books I've read on foreign films or to present some Jungian commentary (even though you bet your ass I totally can - I'll take your shadow and make it my bitch) on the classics.

Instead what I bring to you is a collection of movies that just plain kick ass. Awesome, in other words. Because that's what it boils down to, right? Either something is good, or it sucks. There's no in between. Awesome or not awesome.

This doesn't mean that I have a narrow view of what kicks ass. Yes, Cobra kicks ass and is awesome. As is Roadhouse. But so does Treasure of the Sierra Madra, The 400 Blows, and Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.

And there's no countdown. Whatever I feel like is an awesome movie is what's going up. Leave the countdowns for the losers. We'll stick to awesomeness. Here's to hoping I finish this damn list sometime in the next five years...
